A weekend in the
Cultural Triangle We spent several days in Anuradhapura, the oldest capitol of Sri Lanka dating back to the 4th century B.C. and surrounding area. After going on a Safari in the Wilpattu National park, we checked into the Palm Garden Village Hotel and visited the Archeological and Buddhist Temple sites. Boat Trip on the Bendota River In the Another weekend at the Cultural Triangle. We visited the other ancient cities, Polonnaruva, Sigiriya and Dambulla. We checked in at the Culture Club Hotel in Dambulla. Please check the "Journey" section for more information on the cities! These are of an outing Presidents' Reception I was invited to a reception for the two former Presidents, George Bush Sr. and Bill Clinton, by the U.S. Embassy in Sri Lanka as a representative of the Senior Fulbright Scholars to Sri Lanka.
